How can you make a fade or grading effect like that using just comb and clipper? Is there a tutorial or something where I can learn? I have guards but even with that is hard to get rid of contrast lines
My husband thinks because I cut dogs hair I can cut people hair. Nothing is farther from the truth. I found this video very helpful. His hair looks great. I had a little trouble with his crowns.

In America, many barbers are reluctant to use scissors because they either don’t know how to use them, or because they find the process more tiring. In my country, scissors were used all over the head, while clippers were used only for trimming on the sides and in the back. Could the lady comment on this?

So did she use a guard when she was doing the sides and the back or did she just use the blade on the clipper? how did she make sure that is didn’t shave his hair off using only the blade? I ask as I am my hubby’s new quarantine barber.

Halfway into cutting my husband’s hair for the first time, I was about to give up and told him I can’t do it – you have to go to the hair salon and have them fix it. He was very encouraging come on you can do it! I watched this video and viola! That was it, I got it and my hubby’s hair looks great! Took only two hours hahahaha and HAIR IS EVERY WHERE!

I do have one question though. I never get the hair to split so nicela and stay where I need it to be. do you use some kind of lotion when you wash the hair to prevent it from busting out?

I tried that clipper over comb technique today on my husband, but I totally messed up his neck ๐ it was difficult to get a nice fading from short to long.
Luckily the upper part and the sides look quite good, it was the first time I ever cut someoneโs hair
