Why does my wahl clippers stop cutting while I am cutting someone’s hair like the blades stop if there’s too much hair and then I have to go very very slowly
I would really appreciate if you can tell me Larry.

  2. Joseph White on November 12, 2021 at 4:37 am

Thank you! This officially solved my problem

  3. John Walker on November 12, 2021 at 4:37 am

Five and a half years later you were there when I need you most! I know how to fix things but these clippers have frustrated me so, that I seriously considered sending them to Wahl. I needed to apply 2lbs of pressure, pushing the armature down, but I was doing the opposite! Thank you, sir!

Thank you man !!! you save my clipper and my life to. I wanted to throw away my clipper. One love Pal

Definitely works. There are endless videos on how to adjust the tension on Andis clippers because access to the tension prong is right under the blade. But there aren’t any Wahl videos because you actually have to remove the housing to adjust the tension. So great video!!!

Nah, you are fooling yourself, it did not work.

  9. JaredLil2000 on November 12, 2021 at 4:46 am

Huuuuuge life saver!! Could figure out what my issue was. Thank you! Also, uh, make sure to unplug before you crack the case open and start poking around.

Here in the states it’s just 110, but over there 220 would fry the hair right off your…head…oh.

  10. Dirty Squirrell on November 12, 2021 at 4:47 am

Well done, Larry! Loads of valuable help in this video.

Hi Lary. I have a big problem, I live in a small country in Europe. I got a wahl senior 5 star corded machine, the problem is that in our country the current works at 220V ~ 50Hz and the senior says 120V ~ 60Hz. I bought a voltage converter but there is a problem when I turn it on the machine works but makes a huge noise, as with all electromagnetic motors when we adjust the voltage on the plastic screw on the right side of the machine. I tried to turn the screw clockwise and counterclockwise but nothing changes, the noise is very big. I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now, and I know you’re a hairdressing doctor. Help me doctor what to do with my senior. Greetings

I went to a barber about 3 weeks ago and he gave me a fade that made my head really inflamed afterwards. He used a 1.5 guard, so he did get pretty close to the skin, but my biggest concern is that ever since I got that haircut, I’ve had huge patches of missing hair that aren’t growing back. All the inflamed areas basically now have hair loss. Do you think it could be due to his clipper yanking out my hair instead of cutting?

WARNING: ALWAYS DISCONNECT WHEN SERVICING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT!!

  28. Phil Atkinson on November 12, 2021 at 5:09 am

Warning: you must disconnect the power supply before disassembling the clipper which was not done or explained on this video!!

  29. Drinkyoghurt on November 12, 2021 at 5:09 am

My Wahl 5 star basically started tugging within the first month. I always adjusted the power screw, adjusted the blade gap and oiled it but it never really worked. I noticed that whenever I added some more length with the thumb lever it started working properly again, never knew it was because of the tension. This fixed my issues completely. I was literally at my wits end with this thing. Thanks!

  32. kristian dyrmishi on November 12, 2021 at 5:15 am

Done all this and they re still the same . Instead of cutting theyredamaging the hair and make weird noises

  33. Zak Kohler on November 12, 2021 at 5:16 am

Excellent, I too had exhausted all the preliminary checks in my problem was the tension! My problem happened after I cleaned them for the first time forever… It turns out all the built-up crud was helping keep the tension..

  43. Bulltivation on November 12, 2021 at 5:27 am

My Wahl Legend clipper from the black Legend combo (I guess is the same as the red Legend) pulls hair only with 0.5 and 1.5 guards on it… All the rest of the guards or no guards is fine… Why is that?

  44. Vans Motovlog on November 12, 2021 at 5:27 am
