There is never a right time or right way to do the wrong thing. In the COVID-19 scenario, contact tracing is technically wrong, financially wrong, and morally wrong.
Contact tracing is technically wrong, as it may be an effective tool to trace slow moving deadly viruses such as Ebola or Tuberculosis, but not for a fast-moving virus with a low death rate that is primarily spread by asymptomatic people.
Contact tracing, for COVID-19, is a colossal waste of money which could be better spent on resources to protect the elderly and immune-compromised populations that are the most affected.
Contact tracing will shred our constitutional rights to privacy.
Arizona must stop contact tracing and change course by adopting new policies consistent with the facts as we now know them; COVID-19 death rate is much less than the first suggested 3-7%, it primarily affects seniors and immune-compromised, not equally across the full population.
Going forward, Arizona must immediately remove all business operating restrictions, continue to focus attention on hot spots and congregate living situations, and trust Arizonans to act responsibility to protect themselves and their neighbor.

Hard to trust him after he mislead us on available hospital beds. That was when I stopped watching his afternoon press conferences. What is the point if it isn’t truthful. Now I just check for new rules only.
If hospitals werent out there skewing the data on actual covid deaths for more money then we would have had a better grasp on the situations before we saw drops in cases (Accurate data collection vs grossly false collection) we wouldnt have seen a drop and would have continued safer practices.

The cases are going up because we now understand how severe is was, as a result of the testing drive-thru’s. The numbers will go down slowly and over a period of 2-3 months. That is… until the virus comes back in late fall. What we see NOW, in numbers, is only a reflection of how bad this pandemic has been in a FIRST WAVE. Think about the 1918 Spanish Flu’s A/H1N1 cases. Were looking at 500 Million cases or 45% of the world population with 6% Fatality or 50 million deaths. Now fast forward to 2020… and international travel. If you take those percentages, applying them to today, you now get 250 million deaths and 4.6 billion cases worldwide. Thats quite a bit. Better wear that mask in case it does happen. It was law in 1918. Ironically, that flu ended in April of 1920.
