  3. unguidedone on November 29, 2018 at 5:31 pm

I made a digital study system for barber students and its mobile

    https://payhip.com/b/LlhQ

I got ZERO wrong on my 100 question barber state board test. Heres how the system works:
You do a daily quiz that is written out question + answer and you read a chapter of the Milady’s Standard Professional Barbering 5th Edition book daily. The book is not included but if you memorize the quiz questions and answers you can pretty much skip the book.

Do this for 2 months and barber school is going to be a piece of cake…

I love your videos am learning how to cut hair and really want to be a future Barber am 15 would I be able to work at a barber shop? And if so would I need to be a licensed barber ?

  18. Josh Henderson on November 29, 2018 at 5:48 pm

If you are someone who’s opening a barber shop and looking to hire, be sure to clarify and know the difference between licensed barbers and people who just cut hair. That word barber is loosely used & abused, anybody who says they’ve been barbering since they were little without an official license is not a legit barber, they’ve just been cutting hair their whole life. Barber colleges are in existence for a legitimate reason…to educate & develop students into legitimate professional licensed barbers. Why would someone walk around claiming to be in the military when they’ve never got recruited, never been to boot camp, never served the country by sacrificing their life on the battlefield? That’s what you call a licensed imposter! Not trying to throw shade or be negative but just wanting to bring awareness to this issue that needs to be clarified in the barbering business especially if you’re opening up your own shop, because the last thing you want is for an inspector from your states barbering board to randomly drop in on you and see the so-called barbers you have working in your shop holding a razor and not have an official license posted above their station displaying that they’re legally permitted to do so! We just need to get in the habit of calling ourselves licensed barbers as opposed to just barbers because it sets us apart. Anybody can set someone down on a bucket with a towel around their shoulders and attempt to cut hair, but not everybody is willing to do it the right way by learning and paying their dues in an actual barber school.

Yo bro your an inspiration, We kinda have similar stories I also went to boarding school in PA ( Hill School). I started cutting hair my sophomore year and I’ve been doing it ever since. I kinda gave it up during my senior because of lack of confidence and customers but I’ve started back up this summer . I’m heading into my freshmen year of college, do you have any advice for getting customers in college?

I used to cut hair back in the 90s when I was back in high school. Right now , Im 41 years old. When I cut my sons hair and several friends of mine. They told me to cut hair professionally. I didn’t think about it at first. I start to think I want to become a barber. My question where to start being a license barber.? Now, I’m a xray tech now as a full time job in the hospital. You understand me. Where to start my career as a professional barber?
