How to become a Barber – My Story in NYC | First Month of Barber school

Two Months ago I decided to become a barber, and be licensed with a Master Barber License in the State of New York. One month ago I began my Barber School Program in New York City and after one month of haircutting I share the challenges I faced with all types of fades – skin fades, ceasers, tapers, and scissor cutting. Also share my opinions of the Barber program I’m currently attending, and what i think of the Barber establishment.

I am a beginner Barber/Hairstylist learning the trade of barbering so please leave any comments below on any tips that can help me become a better barber.

When fading just make a 1 inch guideline open. then go back an close it all the way an knock out that bottom line an then half way to knock out the next line then finish where you started with the open. that’s how you stay consistent with keeping the fade balanced. best of luck homie

Fellipe, when you graduate, you will need to create an online barber course for those who are attending schools were the instructors are leaving their student for dead. With your course they can at least follow along the proper way. Yup. I’m following you because you are going to be great at this! You got this!

Here in my country Macedonia our barber school lasts only 20 days and it cost only 350 €. But the certificate is valid for everywhere in the world. Your barber school is very expensive i hope its worth it.
