We are not all the same. Iā€™ve been professionally styling hair for 11 years and customer service / professionalism is my number one priority. Iā€™m in Houston.

  2. Marjorie Pope on November 17, 2021 at 12:36 pm

Omg sheā€™s horrible. I would a walk out and pull everything out. Sheā€™s really horrible and thatā€™s not the service she paid for. They need to show her face and expose her. No one needs to ever go to her. She needs to apologize to the client and the public for that attitude

Itā€™s really crazy but Iā€™m literally getting just knotless braids by this ig hair stylist and itā€™s 350 the non-refund deposits 95 and the extra lengths 30 like I give up after this.šŸ’€šŸ’€Like sheā€™s really good at what she does but I feel like Iā€™m paying for damn arrogant tae šŸ˜.

  6. Temp Jones on November 17, 2021 at 12:43 pm

I have been watching a lot of videos on this topic and I don’t think these stylists are licensed šŸ˜” I’ve been to black owned salons (in a building it wasn’t their house), with their licenses on the wall, and have never seen or experienced this type of behaviour.

I can’t imagine being able to graduate from cosmetology school with this type of attitude and treatment towards clients. They’re giving professional [black] hairstylists a bad rep.

  7. Aneesa Anderson on November 17, 2021 at 12:43 pm

She never shouldā€™ve smoked with her in the 1st place, at all. Thatā€™s a boundary issue, for one.

  8. Joucā€™e Amorā€™e on November 17, 2021 at 12:45 pm

The girl doesnā€™t seem THAT high. She seemed pretty competent to me, speaking with manners and everything. I think the woman was exaggerating the drugs thing to justify her treatment of the client. Why was she eye hustling the girls text messages anyway. This is why Iā€™ve always been skeptical about going to peoples houses to get services. No thanks. If youā€™re a ā€œprofessionalā€ then letā€™s be in a professional environment too.

  9. lady30524 on November 17, 2021 at 12:46 pm

Iā€™m literally watching this in a taco bell parking lot at 6:30pm waiting for my stylist to finish his current client. My appointment was at 5šŸ„“

  10. Ihana Kaunotar on November 17, 2021 at 12:47 pm

Well drugs just generally are not a good combinationā€¦.

  11. Vanity.Luxe on November 17, 2021 at 12:47 pm

Black stylists are abusive. Then they don’t want to take any accountability for anything. They will literally try to fight you for not being happy with their services. And I have actually seen stylist physically assault a client for not wanting to pay for terrible service or just simply having an issue with the service.

And for those stylist who will come on here and say that it’s not all black stylist. It absolutely is almost all of you. It is extremely rare to find a professional black stylist who respects your time, who can actually grow your hair, who is passionate about what they do and doesn’t treat everything like a hustle. And who is not flat out ghetto, aggressive, and abusive. I hate saying that about black women but it’s the actual reality.

  12. My-Ishia Cason-Brown on November 17, 2021 at 12:48 pm

Why is she all in her texts??

  13. Iam Melanubian on November 17, 2021 at 12:49 pm

And this is exactly why Iā€™m getting my natural hair care license as a black hairstylist and black women you should already know getting our hair done is a sensitive and vulnerable time in for you to sit here and act this way is utterly disgusting that woman needs to lose her license

  14. Michele Joce on November 17, 2021 at 12:50 pm

Oooohhh that lady is lucky it wasn’t someone like me.. i wouldn’t have argued back either.. but i would have waited till her bathroom break.. and left.. ive ran into that before that’s why I started doing my own hair..thanks for the videošŸ˜‰

  15. Jackie Henry on November 17, 2021 at 12:50 pm

I had a stylist put me under the hair dryer, while she went out with her stop sign, and worked her part time cross walk job. She didn’t even tell me what she was leaving to do. I’ve also always had late stylists and many who have forgotten the appointment. They’re usually on the phone, hide the products they are using in my hair and don’t do what I ask. I always fear walking into an environment where I feel like Im at their mercy. I’m prompt, tip well, give them holiday gifts, and try my best to be a good customer. I’m just going to do my own hair.

  16. K BEVERLEE on November 17, 2021 at 12:53 pm

That is a big reason why a lot of women are wearing wigs.I stopped going to beauticians years ago because they are so rude and literally take all day to complete your hair. It is not worth the stress.

  17. SilkPress Boss on November 17, 2021 at 12:53 pm

  20. Phylicia Allen on November 17, 2021 at 12:57 pm

These ā€œstylistsā€ are not real stylists, these are the ones claiming to be stylists but havenā€™t gone through the proper training b/c you donā€™t need a license to braid hair. Cosmetology school would teach them professionalism and they wouldnā€™t need to operate out of their house. They make real stylists look bad. šŸ˜’šŸ™„

  21. All N One on November 17, 2021 at 12:57 pm

Iā€™m a stylist and I understand both sides of what you saying . I would love to make a video explaining , can I use your video in mine ? ā¤ļø

  26. Sareptha Bastien on November 17, 2021 at 1:01 pm

It is so hard to find a good hairstylist these days specially as a black woman that wants the simplest style. The ones I met are professional the only thing about them is they act as if theyā€™re in a rush or certain things they donā€™t say on their sites when you book and then you waste your whole money. I went to two different hairstylist and I had brought human hair and they both fucked that up so I had to take it out the next day because it was fucked up when I went to a new hairstylist today sheā€™s saying oh I donā€™t install synthetic hair and Iā€™m just like I only have synthetic hair this time because the last two they fucked up my human hair and I wasted my money and Iā€™m just like if you donā€™t do synthetic hair you should put that on your site so I donā€™t waste my time and I donā€™t waste your time. I wish you there was more hairstylist actually took their time and made it clear when posting that they can do and canā€™t.

  27. charna charna on November 17, 2021 at 1:03 pm

If she smoked with her client just before the service then she has no right to complain because you already knew she was high, not only that How she know you’re doing a good job when you’re high. And the "Stylist"and I say that lightly has no right to question what she’s texting or why.She couldn’t have been worried about her kids being home because she smoked while they were home. That’s why I don’t do home hair stylist.

  28. Gail Allen on November 17, 2021 at 1:05 pm

Why are you guys classing those people that know a bit about doing hair at home in the same category as professional cosmetologist not right I’m hurt…that was a getto behaved person that knows how to braid spiting on clients hair talking to the girl any kind of way also live video cant be any more hood than that some times you get what you pay for it might be a bit cheaper but at what cost šŸ¤·

Man I been doing my own hair all quarantine. I am sick of all the salon problems. Eating, talking on the phone, never on time, do what they wanna do, cant do styles, cut too much hair, expect a tip and wanna over charge for horrible service.

  38. Marsella Cruz on November 17, 2021 at 1:16 pm

Why is she reading her phone

  39. Idbrown on November 17, 2021 at 1:16 pm

My stylist is an older old school saved lady. She is highly professional. Iā€™ve been going to her for over a decade. Sheā€™s always on time and she never overbook to make extra money. I love her and support her. Iā€™ll even send her money just because.

  43. Alex N on November 17, 2021 at 1:23 pm

They both have issues. If you have to be high that is a red flag of personal issues she is probably used to being talked like that which Is why I tell people donā€™t be so quick to say weed is a cure all because I have seen people lose all discernment and be okay around abusive people while high on just weed!
I would not fee comfortable with random high people in my HOME. But the stylist was abusive and hostile, and the fact that she opened the door by smoking WITH HER is so problematic.

Part of the reason why I donā€™t like to go to stylists is because for many itā€™s a bottom barrel hussle or they are skilled but filled with a lot of self-hate. Donā€™t touch me. This is universal. I worked around a tons of stylists all colors when I worked in entertainment. Even a lot of them have MASSIVE self-hate which is why they are obsessed with ā€œtransformationsā€. You couple the type of personality that is already kind of petty with hood life, no thanks.

But I will say this, if something is truly private, donā€™t do it around people. Donā€™t talk about people in a text when they are right there, itā€™s disrespectful. Rich people do this to ā€œthe helpā€ talk like they are t in the room and donā€™t exist and thatā€™s hella rude. Donā€™t read other peopleā€™s text but at the same time donā€™t expect the same when the person you are gossiping about is laboring on you and standing RIGHT THERE! Be SMART. If I caught something that was being said about me inadvertently because you are being bold AF to do it in front of my face, letā€™s talk about it. That was a passive aggressive move on the part of the client who feels powerless and is co-dependent on the stylist. She forgot not everyone is passive aggressive, some people are just straight up agressive. But sheā€™s too high to realize who she is dealing with. BE SMART LADIES.

  44. Style with Serwa on November 17, 2021 at 1:23 pm

Damn. Them braids WAS looking cute, too smh.

  45. blakbeauti on November 17, 2021 at 1:23 pm

I just booked a hair appt last weekend, n my stylist never bothered to show up. Not even a text ā€¦or call, and Iā€™m not a first time either. Ticked off,I bought some hair to wash and braid (cuz thatā€™s all I know !) myself. On my DAY OFF.
I wanted a day of pampering , to just have someone take care of me (my hair/crown)for once, and itā€™s just irritating how a lot of black hairstylists are now.
They arrive to work late most of the time yet get an attitude if you 3 minutes past your appt. my times is just as valuable as yours, boo. cx service is Waack..Now I have to wash, blow dry and moisturize my hair befor Iā€™m good enough to sit in your chair? šŸ¤£ oh okay

Omgggggg this cannot go for all black hairstylist honestly. Iā€™m a black hairstylist and that clip DISTURBED ME!! That hairstylist was very disgusting.
