I have been watching a lot of videos on this topic and I don’t think these stylists are licensed š” I’ve been to black owned salons (in a building it wasn’t their house), with their licenses on the wall, and have never seen or experienced this type of behaviour.
I can’t imagine being able to graduate from cosmetology school with this type of attitude and treatment towards clients. They’re giving professional [black] hairstylists a bad rep.

Black stylists are abusive. Then they don’t want to take any accountability for anything. They will literally try to fight you for not being happy with their services. And I have actually seen stylist physically assault a client for not wanting to pay for terrible service or just simply having an issue with the service.
And for those stylist who will come on here and say that it’s not all black stylist. It absolutely is almost all of you. It is extremely rare to find a professional black stylist who respects your time, who can actually grow your hair, who is passionate about what they do and doesn’t treat everything like a hustle. And who is not flat out ghetto, aggressive, and abusive. I hate saying that about black women but it’s the actual reality.

I had a stylist put me under the hair dryer, while she went out with her stop sign, and worked her part time cross walk job. She didn’t even tell me what she was leaving to do. I’ve also always had late stylists and many who have forgotten the appointment. They’re usually on the phone, hide the products they are using in my hair and don’t do what I ask. I always fear walking into an environment where I feel like Im at their mercy. I’m prompt, tip well, give them holiday gifts, and try my best to be a good customer. I’m just going to do my own hair.

They both have issues. If you have to be high that is a red flag of personal issues she is probably used to being talked like that which Is why I tell people donāt be so quick to say weed is a cure all because I have seen people lose all discernment and be okay around abusive people while high on just weed!
I would not fee comfortable with random high people in my HOME. But the stylist was abusive and hostile, and the fact that she opened the door by smoking WITH HER is so problematic.
Part of the reason why I donāt like to go to stylists is because for many itās a bottom barrel hussle or they are skilled but filled with a lot of self-hate. Donāt touch me. This is universal. I worked around a tons of stylists all colors when I worked in entertainment. Even a lot of them have MASSIVE self-hate which is why they are obsessed with ātransformationsā.
