Barbers in the UK don’t need a licence, unlike in the United States, Australia and parts of Europe. BBC London has discovered that it could be putting people at risk here in the capital. Ben Hunte reports
Me myself being a barber with no qualifications but it’s common sense to disinfect your blades & every tool you use bumps etc are also caused by ingrown hair so self care is a must to get them treated

Yes, I personally felt victim to this and itβs happening everywhere. Unless you have a barber that clean his equipment after every customer thereβs no such thing in a sanitize barbershop, especially if you walk into one that has electric shavers. In fact barbers who use electric shavers are lazy and your hair grow back faster than using a razor. They all about that paper. The only solution is to buy your own clippers and be that boozy guy in the barbershop.
Iβve never had anything like that happen to me and Iβve been going to barbers all my life. Maybe because the barbers I go to actually wash their equipment after every use and donβt use rusty or crappy equipment or I shower immediately after a haircut to get all the loose hairs out?

My barber washes hair before he cuts
My mom is Cosmetologists here in the states and they are SO STRICT about everything but it all makes sense and they specially need to sanitize the combs and clips with a special liquid every day and use a DIFFERENT comb with every different client. Shame, can’t believe the UK doesn’t have laws
Stick to the same barber who u know cleans their equipment and shower right after problem solved
Shaving any part of your body will increase the possibility of you having skin problems.
This is news to me, I know the UK doesn’t have tooth paste, but didn’t know about the absence of barber cleaning supplies.
That’s why I prefer to use my own clipper
The same problem exists in hair salons. And this is one of the reasons why I’ve not visited a hair salon for 30 years.

People are too stressed and fancy. There’s nothing wrong about not showering in the first hour after getting a haircut (if your barber has at least a little bit of self esteem) or eating unwashed fruits, or going out on bad weather. The human body adapts, I didn’t got a flu in years, even if I stayed near sick people. IMMUNITY
So there’s people here who DON’T shower after getting. Haircut?? Wtf I thought everyone knew to do that once you get home… I can only imagine how the people who don’t shower pillows look like

I had been going to a Turkish/Kurdish barber all my life pretty much, and my friend convinced me to go to his black barber and once was enough, I had ring worm and had to be seen by a specialist.
Iβm not here to hate, Black guys are skilled at cutting hair, but Iβm sorry theyβre absolutely filthy, the people in this video are all black which proves my theory right.
The Turks and Kurds are clean, their restaurants, their barbers are spotless. Donβt believe me? Try a turkish barber in London, especially north London. Have a marry Christmas folks.
