Andis Styliner 2 – Hair Clipper Product Review

The Andis Styliner 2 is another quality product, built to last, made by Andis. The Styliner 2 leaves a very smooth, crisp cut when the blade is properly set. Most Barbers have at least one or two pairs of these clippers. the Styliner 2 is also a great clippers for parts and designs. Check out my other videos for the Andis Styliner 2 on how to sharpen and set the blades.

My clipper give a loud buzz and when I adjust it won’t cut. Is it time to trash it?

What would you say is the best trimmer out there?  I just bought an Oster T-trimmer and don’t like the way it cuts.  I was thinking about either the Styliner 2 or the GTX.  Any input would be appreciated.

The center screw is probably too tight.

They are both great clippers but you have to have the blade adjusted and set to a "zero gap’ for the best cut. The Styliner 2 does stay very cool, that is one of its advantages.

Thank you for watching, this would probably be a better option for you instead of the t outliner.

I keep going through Andis T-edjers every year or so. Either the switch goes bad or my latest issue, the cord breaking at the base. I use it to shave with everyday and fade my hair cut. I read Andis discontinued making them so I will buy the Styleliners.

Thank you for watching, the Styliner is a great clipper, it would be a wise investment.

Thanks for taking the time to compare these trimmers.

These blades are very sensitive sometimes it takes a few tries to get right. I dont use the anivo blade setter so I am unfamiliar with the performance capabilities of that product.

One last question brother, what’s the best outliner out the box? I have extremely thick hair and buzz my hair to a 1in, and use an andis t outliner to line it up and then a straight razor to clean it up. I’ve had the andis for 3yrs and am looking to upgrade to a new clipper. Thinking of the styleliner 2, and I heard it doesn’t overheat, is that true?

  18. Patrick Bahry on May 2, 2021 at 12:45 am

Does the styliner 2 cut lower than the andis t outliner? I want to upgrade to it, and do I have to adjust it? I prefer to get that sharpness out the box since I’m not a barber.

I believe they’re the best trimmers and most durable. Been using the same styliner 2 since 1996 and haven’t had to replace it!!!! And they have no loss of power. I go in the body to clean the hair out so the pin that move the blade can have some freedom. None of the pivot motor trimmers can hold a candle to the styliner 2.

Sloppy audio recording. Mic pics all the ambient garbadge sounds and puts it into your video. It’s hard to understand what you had to say. Sorry, but this is disrespectful to your viewers. Do this right, or don’t do at all.

    can I skeleton my styliners?

  23. Sirgromulus on May 2, 2021 at 12:50 am

Thanks man. Old white guy here looking for an outliner for my beard ‘s cheek and neck lines. Was debating between these and the T-Outliner and I am leaning towards this unit.

  24. Juniorflores56 on May 2, 2021 at 12:50 am

i recently just bought a pair . I tried to zero gap them and now they wont stop buzzing nd the blade doesnt move . what could be the problem ? what should i do ?

  25. The David Warren Channel on May 2, 2021 at 12:51 am

Thank you for watching. Out the box they both cut about the same. In order to get a closer cut on either clipper you will have to adjust the blade. You can easily do that yourself or take it to a person who specializes in clipper sharpening.

best barber vids ever….good stuff….keep it up pimp

I have the styleliner and can’t quite get it adjusted properly do you think the Anivo blade setter will do these any justice? I had the super liner at one time and ended up giving those to a relative. I either use the regular Andis outliners or Wahl trimmers.
