My bro has been a barber for 10 years and I stsrted cutting maybe 3 weeks ago done maybe 11 cuts so far and each one is progression, youtube helps so much and I hang around my Bros barbershop often to just soak it in and shadow as he cuts. It’s great to see people willing to let you learn on their hair it’s the only way to learn I started doing bald fades and sometimes have trouble with the bald line but like I said progression us success! Never give up whay you Beleive in! You can’t have success without effort 💯 💯 barber gang 💪

Yo my mom did the exact same thing for me she always cut my hair bald bc $16 to only cut the sides was hella expensive so I started cutting my own hair in 7th grade

Try to come up with a step by step and follow it every time. Try to stay a little lower on your tapers too. And when you line up the beard blend the top of it into the beard but don’t go too low. You’ll be straight gee
Jay, I appreciate the video man. Most ppl don’t start off that nice, but YouTube and practice will get you there. You’re getting nicer with the clippers so don’t be shy to raise the price a bit. I love what I do to but the more money you get, the more you can afford upgrades. Trust me That’s important and will make better cuts easier and quicker

Good for you. Often people quit cutting hair before they get better bc of the embarrassment of faulty cuts. I’ve been cutting for a year now. Just finished apprenticeship. Keep icey bro and work on reverse fading down the sideburns.

I understand the struggle for real. I moved to Florida, from California. Since I’ve been here, its been hard to find the one that can put it down. Long story short, I’ve started just cutting myself. Every so often, I still go to the barber shop to find that one lol. Keep doing your thang my dude.
Tapers were garbage af ! I can teach a monkey how to fade, but for a person to be the best barber learn how to use the clipper over comb, scissor over comb, shear work. Not everyone wants a fade some want length

I hope to become a barber I’m 14 I just now started I’ve cut 3 people’s hair my brothers I have him a chili bowl with curly hair on top and my home boy angel we did a fade for fade and my brothers friend I’ve cut his hair like 2 times already he’s the most loyal client I’ve had at the moment the first I feel like I’m getting better
