i don’t like fresh fades on me, i like grown out fades so hopefully when i do this it won’t turn out bad & it will actually end up looking good. but if i start with a 6 do i go up to the top of my hair like how u did so it fades? or will that stuff up the top of ur hair.

Hey there!! I usually cut my own hair.. I was just watching to see if you had any tips that I didn’t know.. Turns out you did… I like that you use the 1 1/2 cut.. That will be very helpful to me… Now I have a tip for you.. While cutting the back of your hair, turn around so that the back of your head is in the big mirror. Then you don’t have to reposition the mirror. you keep the little one in front of you and you can actually see A LOT more of your head that way!! 🙂 Thanks for the tips!!

Thanks so much for making this video! I’m a woman who just went to a short cut for the first time, and the stylist had no idea why I disliked the uneven bottom in the back. I didn’t know my funky hairline was called cowlicks or what to do about them. I’m about to try your method at home for the first time, but when I start paying someone to cut my hair again post-COVID, I think I’m going to a barber instead of a traditional women’s stylist!
