AirCut Vs Flowbee Vs RoboCut

How does Aircut work? – Aircut is an electric powered hand-held hair cutter invented by Waukesha, Wisconsin inventor Norman Yerke in 2008 for cutting hair. It has a two motor system, one for lifting hair and pulling it in the unit and another that moves like a scissor to cut it. It consists of a plastic guard or “styler” which helps in avoiding a very short cut. Plus it has an internal micrometer filer that keeps any hair from entering any internal components and keeps it intact in the unit.

AirCut is a unique hair cutting tool which has the “do-it-yourself” convenience since it has one of a kind self-contained cutting engine. The suction for cleaning the hair is built in and does not require addition vacuum. This makes it compact and ideal for haircuts shorter than 4 ½ inches. It also comes with 9 different Snap-on attachments for custom cutting the hair for any desired length. The removable hair collection chamber can be easily pulled and cleaned without leaving any mess.

Saving time and money by cutting your own hair just got easier because the AirCut haircutter (http://www.aircut.com ) takes vacuum haircutting technology to a whole new level.

Breakthrough engineering means the AirCut haircutter’s powerful 46 mile-per-hour vacuum fits inside the AirCut haircutter – a stylish blue unit about the same size and weight as a hair dryer. The design keeps itchy, messy hair clippings off you, your clothes, the sink and floor.

“In today’s economy, people are looking for ways to cut costs and cutting your own hair or your kids hair at home is a simple way to save,” said Norm Yerke, inventor of the AirCut haircutter. “For a family, the AirCut haircutter could easily save thousands. It’s a tremendous value when you think of how much you spend driving to the barber, paying for haircuts and giving the barber a tip, it makes so much sense to use the AirCut haircutter instead. It only takes most people five or six haircuts to pay for itself -– for a dad with a couple of sons, it can be paid for in just two rounds of haircuts -– plus there’s no making an appointment or waiting around.”

“But it’s not just about saving time and money,” Yerke continued. “It’s about looking great. It’s about no whining kids. It’s about not making small talk with a barber. You can get a haircut as often as you want, get the same cut every time with no hassle and it’s super for quick trims in between haircuts.”

Everybody laughed at me when I bought this back in 2016. People are cutting their own hair and screwing it up during the lockdown. With this cool item my haircut looks like I went to a hairstylist. Who’s laughing now ? 😎

  2. Nelson R. on November 23, 2020 at 9:07 pm

You’re supposed to bounce up and down and move across the scalp. That’s a Flowbee without the vacuum.

  3. Melek Taus on November 23, 2020 at 9:09 pm

Do you dear people have any idea how to get this fabulous device in Europe?

  4. MusicforMe123 on November 23, 2020 at 9:10 pm

You look pretty good after the cut, it’s something worth looking into.

  5. Tim Gillespie on November 23, 2020 at 9:10 pm

Must be doing OK because they are out of stock.

  6. condorhero on November 23, 2020 at 9:11 pm

That is so cool. I didn’t like the old 90’s vacuum. This is perfect thanks.

  7. Shirley Gay Norris on November 23, 2020 at 9:13 pm

Put on the attachments, then using the vacuum only you can tell if the attachment is the right length or not. Then you tap the tool around your head. If you just move it around your head it won’t work right you have to tap each section and let the hair get sucked up

  8. DontPanic on November 23, 2020 at 9:14 pm

I got a Flowbee a couple of weeks ago. They aren’t gone. You can buy it directly from the Flowbee site or Amazon. My hair turned out great.

  9. Preston Thomas on November 23, 2020 at 9:16 pm

FlowBee’s are not long gone as you say, they are still around and you can still purchase them. I know this for a fact since I purchased one a few months ago and just came from their website. I have also used the RoboCut which is also still available. Of the two I would have to give the nod (not much though) to RoboCut. I have not purchased or used the AirCut at this time but am in the market for a new model unit and that is why I am here watching your review. So on we go….

  12. Fareed Rahimi on November 23, 2020 at 9:17 pm

    140 too much

  13. Chuck Desylva on November 23, 2020 at 9:17 pm

How do you service it? Like when the shears need sharpening?
And didn’t the flowbee require a vaccum cleaner also? So this is definitely an improvement in that regard.

  14. Josiah Heng on November 23, 2020 at 9:23 pm

Get a real man’s hair cut – Remington still beats this 😉

  15. Phoenix Caladrius on November 23, 2020 at 9:28 pm

FlowBee isn’t gone. It’s still being sold. 😳

  16. SlingbladeJim on November 23, 2020 at 9:29 pm

Nope….I was wrong. Skip the whole thing.

  17. CaliforniaMan on November 23, 2020 at 9:30 pm

Bad designed compare to Flowbee, big and bulky and have to remove hair each cut and hair may fall out from blade holes when not on.

  18. ClumsyRoot on November 23, 2020 at 9:31 pm

    Not bad at all!

  19. HonestSpiritual on November 23, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Flowbee is not long gone. I just bought one online today. Pricey to ship internationally though.

  20. Boner_Uppercut on November 23, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Sweet tutorial! I’ll be buying myself one.

  21. Miss Marilyn on November 23, 2020 at 9:34 pm

This looks like a really cool product. I had a Flowbee a long time ago. The Flowbee was great at cutting my hair very evenly. However, I had to pull out a giant shop vac every time with tubes going everywhere. I definitely need an Aircut now.

  22. Dollysinn on November 23, 2020 at 9:35 pm

    Prefer Flowbee.

  23. Marie Arce on November 23, 2020 at 9:35 pm

I have the original Flowbee, still works great, you’re supposed to bounce it up and down to cut better.

  24. William on November 23, 2020 at 9:37 pm

I just bought a brand new flowbee for $129.00 shipped to me, I love it!

  25. Reuben Dunn on November 23, 2020 at 9:39 pm

I am not sure you are getting the best results. You were combing rather than actually "vacuuming" the hair. from what I saw, you were not actually getting as much hair inside the tube.

  26. pandorakid229 on November 23, 2020 at 9:40 pm

Is it better than the flowbee?!?

  27. Rodger william on November 23, 2020 at 9:40 pm

    YOU are funny….I just gave myself a military " KOJAK " haircut…..!

    The Asian Scotty Kilmer

  32. Rhett Oracle on November 23, 2020 at 9:43 pm

At $140 it provides cord, directions and all attachments to perform the same function as a pair of scissors. Hmmm

  33. pandorakid229 on November 23, 2020 at 9:44 pm

its sold out, how much does it normally costs?

  34. Izzy Rizzy on November 23, 2020 at 9:44 pm

  36. Giulio M on November 23, 2020 at 9:45 pm

    Great review and demo!
Nothing like a pandemic to boost business for this product. Maybe that’s why it’s so expensive? I want to buy stock in this company right now.

  37. profmartin1967 on November 23, 2020 at 9:45 pm

Surely this is just the suck cut seen in Wayne’s World brought up to date. Mike Myers should have copyrighted it.

  38. CUMBICA1970 on November 23, 2020 at 9:52 pm

Flowbee gone? Far from it. Even here in Japan it is wildly popular. I bought mine 22 years ago and still works fine. It cost 12,800 yens or about 100 US bucks. I was thinking on buying a new one but it’s perennially on shortage. When a used one pops up on Yahoo auction (the Japanese ebay) it goes as high as 300 US bucks! Why oh why it’s not something that uses rare earth materials.

  39. macdaddy on November 23, 2020 at 9:55 pm

Omg, jesus. I hope you work from home. What do you call that cut? The dork?

  40. EX MIUWU103 on November 23, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Old tech, I’ve seen this on TV before, stronger suction.

  41. Shirley Gay Norris on November 23, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Flowbee Co. is still making Flowbee. They’re just closed down right now because of the coronavirus.

  42. Norm Yerke on November 23, 2020 at 9:57 pm

Peter, I am the inventor of the AirCut, thanks for review, It is best to "bounce" the stylers on your head. I have sold the company but it is still being sold at http://www.aircut.com and Amazon…it is a wonderful products that saves you lots of dollars and you can’t make a mistake because of the various lengths of stylers….thanks again, Norm

  43. francis white on November 23, 2020 at 9:58 pm

So is this a Chinese rip off of the flowbee?

  44. Jimbaloidatron on November 23, 2020 at 9:58 pm

    Looks like a happy shark!

  45. pay on November 23, 2020 at 9:58 pm

I shopped around and ended up buying a robocut around 4 years ago. Used it once back then and the other day for the 2nd time. The robocut was only $75 back then, now it’s almost doubled.

It is kind of a pain to attach a full size vacuum to it but it works pretty well. I’d probably buy this one now because there’s no clunky vacuum to attach. I don’t recall seeing the Aircut back then, not sure.

Update: The Aircut has been around for 10 years+. Not sure why I ended up buying the Robocut instead. Maybe it was cheaper.
