From my experience Remington HC4250 shortcut clipper pro haircut kit is one of the best hair clippers for men. The HC4250 is a great option for beginners and experienced users alike.

Pros:
– Cordless
– Can also be used while plugged in if battery runs out
– Curved blade makes for a smoother cut
– Price is pretty reasonable compared to similar clippers
– 9 guards ranging from a #5 all the way down to a #0
– Can remove all guards for an extremely close buzz

Cons:
– Travel pouch doesn’t fit all the guards, only the clipper itself
– Amount of lubricating oil included is very small

I just want to add the Remington clipper works really well for me. I’ve been cutting my own hair about every three weeks for the last five months.

I start off with 2.0 guard on top and back of my head, and then I switch to 1.5 guard for the sides. I’ll keep using the latter guard for my entire head until I cut as close as I want.

Now that I cut my hair regularly, it only takes about 15 minutes to do the job. The guards keep you from cutting your hair too short, like bald. I wouldn’t advise using the clippers without a guard.

I also got a pair of those barber scissors to cut near my ears and around my head. Plus, I just like how the cutting sounds as I use them.

The Remington Clippers save me money and time from having to go and sit in a barbershop.

I still think the old style cut more even for those of us that wanted a bit longer length. Th battery was OK for me but I charged it after every use. When the battery no longer functioned I would cut it (dremel tool) out the Ni-cad battery a and replace it with an external battery holder. I was then able to use a rechargeable lithium battery to power the unit.

I just ordered one. (I already have a Philips (Norelco) QC5530 Head Groom which does not have the curve, but it has the 180 degree option, especially handy for behind the head trimming.) Let’s see if this Remington HC4250 can also be utilized for trimming my beard to a short to medium length. I don’t see why not. If it does I”ll put the QC5530 on the table in the entrance hall of the apartment building I live. We leave things there that are still good, for anyone who wants them. That way I gave away stuff and also found things I could really use.

I would be petrified to use this.

  8. rawn4203 on December 1, 2020 at 9:41 pm

Gr8 review – and just used it tonite and I love it! Hey in the instructions it says to let the charger run till it dies, this somehow makes the Lithium batteries last longer? I started doing it but after a while I felt it didnt make any sense. Any ideas on if this is true or I am misunderstanding the instructions??? Thanx.

  15. Xyz Sing on December 1, 2020 at 9:53 pm

I want a buzz cut (going bald) of 00000 or 0000 in hair stylist lingo. I don’t know what it translates here.

What is the best Brand for hair clippers

  27. Garry Clarke on December 1, 2020 at 10:03 pm

Nice one. I always try to use my clippers in the back yard with a mirror placed on the wall. Saves all of that messy cleaning up in the bathroom. It’s also amazing what a difference natural light makes.

  28. Ito Akihiro on December 1, 2020 at 10:04 pm

    I’m bald now….

  29. ammerudgrenda on December 1, 2020 at 10:07 pm

It’s a good clipper, but it also has several faults.
    It doesn’t last very long.
Cannot be used for international travel. I took it with me Europe and as soon as I plugged it in, the power supply blew up. It’s 110 volt, only.
On another local (within USA) trip, the clipper was discharged when I arrived at the destination. The power button is right on top and is accidentally pressed when in your luggage.
As long as you don’t use it for travel, it will be fine.

  30. mark enriquez on December 1, 2020 at 10:08 pm

everyone who uses it in the vids im seeing seems to want to be bald…what if you actually want to have some hair? i know you can use guards and still have some hair but why can’t i find any video of someone who just wants a cut and not a bald look?

  31. Mario Monti on December 1, 2020 at 10:10 pm

    Thanks for the video.
Got my hair buzzed for the first time last week.
They mention the shortest cut is 1/16".
Have you tried removing and cutting without the zero guard?
If so, how short do you think it was?
    Thanks!

  32. par28011 on December 1, 2020 at 10:10 pm

i dont like curve blade I see difficult to line up my hair. make a video doing that please.

  33. Jim Fancher on December 1, 2020 at 10:13 pm

This is waterproof. I just picked one up on Amazon for $30.

  34. capgains on December 1, 2020 at 10:14 pm

to bad the blades don’t adjust and require adding attachments

  35. Elliot Bridgewater on December 1, 2020 at 10:14 pm

I usually cut my hair to grade 2 all over when it roughly reaches grade 3-4.

Can these do that? (because they look very different from standard hair clippers)

  36. J- Kane on December 1, 2020 at 10:15 pm

It’s an OK clipper….I give it a solid 3. Doesn’t cut as close as I thought, I’ve owned clippers that cut closer than these, but these do have great design

  37. Johnnie Black on December 1, 2020 at 10:16 pm

You look better with this machine.

  38. Jawid on December 1, 2020 at 10:16 pm

Not just saying this…but it does look better!

  40. Sanjay Mehta on December 1, 2020 at 10:18 pm

Does it hurt without using a comb? Blade seems pretty sharp

  41. David Jones on December 1, 2020 at 10:18 pm

The Remington SCC-100 Short Cut Clipper Rechargeable Cordless Haircut Kit is a lot better and needs to come back.

  42. MrSuperMitchy on December 1, 2020 at 10:19 pm

Is it’s number 1 shave? Or zero?

  43. Random Clicks on December 1, 2020 at 10:21 pm

Can’t wait to get these, it’s only just dawned on me that because they have a battery I can shave my head in the shower and won’t have to clean up hair off the floor then put clothes on and get in shower then shake clothes afterwards! My routine will be much more improved. My old clippers blades have gone a bit dull and it takes many passes to get all the spots, by that time my head feels sunburnt.

  44. İsim Soyad on December 1, 2020 at 10:22 pm

    thank you!

  45. rameez328 on December 1, 2020 at 10:22 pm

    Water-Resistant?

  46. JclarkComedy on December 1, 2020 at 10:23 pm

Nice. Do the guards stay secure when cutting and are they durable?

  47. Miguel Angel Martinez on December 1, 2020 at 10:24 pm
