About scorpions: some neighborhoods are worse than others. When I lived in the shadow of south mountain I saw hundreds. Now I’m in garfield and I’ve never seen one.
I love the video! The only thing is I am from NJ and I will take 115 all day long over 90 and 80 percent humidity. Not to mention I still have my rights here unlike New Jersey where I cannot defend myself and I can walk down the street without getting harassed by corrupt police. Keep up the vids.
Yeah, it gets hot 🥵 in FL too, only add steam to the mix. It get up in the 110- 115 in central Florida and the bugs. I remember one time it was over 110 and a town called lake Wales Florida, and we were all getting ready to go to the lake and we pulled into the gas station to get gas and next to us pulls up one of these really filthy cars, and I mean filthy you know the kind that you look at it and you know when they open up that car it’s going to be some garbage falling out. Well they open up the car doors and not only did some garbage come out but at least a dozen roaches came out that car. Those roaches look like they’ve been waiting a while and couldn’t wait to get out that car, but as soon as they came out and hit the sidewalk, they were dead within seconds, like maybe 5- 10 seconds. They didn’t even make it a foot and a half from the car. Now that’s hot.
oh man those scorpians! dang AZ and your affordable home prices tho….I must go..ha. I’ll be prepared now
5 months? 🤔 I’m from Cashion, AZ today is March 7th and is 82 degrees outside 😂 if this ain’t great weather I don’t know what is. This guy has some good points but tends to exaggerate in his videos.

A thing to add about the heat. From May through October your going to run your AC 24/7. I live in a 2 bedroom apt. and bill is around $150ish for those months. June through August they triple the electricity rates and it gets even higher. I talked to people in houses that have told me they spend $500 – $600 a month during summer.
My husband says we have two seasons heaven and hell out here 🤣🤣🤣🤣 good point : Cars dont rust in phoenix like on the east coast salt and humidity.

Those dang rocks will tear up your windows! I have a rock shatter my driver side window and the tint was the only thing that held it together! There also always something on the highway! Furniture! Road cones! Anything you can imagine will be in the middle of the highway.

I have been living in Gilbert old town area almost 20 years and I haven’t seen a scorpion, snake or drug problems/crime where i am so that will depend on a location. It does get wicked hot but everybody stays in AC environment anyway. It is not a place for everybody to live for sure.

Let me tell you the first thing I noticed when we were viewing homes (from CA) in gilbert/chandler/queen creek….um let me just say very much one shade…..where are my BIPOC folks. Now I did spy that area behind Chandler that they were gentrifying …but that was the closest thing I saw to "my peeps". I have lived in PA and IL and CA so I get that places are different and that is fine , just curious where the diversity resides.

You talk about scorpions coming into your home. Do you have a pest service ? I’m asking because I’m considering moving to Phoenix and I’ve been told many times that spiders and scorpions and all those other creepy crawlers aren’t a problem if you have a regular pest control service spray. Also I have dogs so having poisonous bugs possibly bite them when I’m not home makes me very nervous.

There is another issue that arises during the hot weather months: there is no cold tap water. It is not so bad when you are washing your hands but showering…wow! For the first 20 seconds the water is nice and cool, after that the shower feels like a flame thrower. In the summer time, for a "cold" shower I position a fan to blow on me to help me keep cool.
Arizona is not for everyone but I’ll take it over NYC any day.
Hey Big Super, stayed at a resort in North Scottsdale last September my first visit to Arizona and was quite impressed with the area. The temp was 104-108 but not as humid as Florida.( I lived in Tampa for 2 years}. It is hot and the temperature sneaks up on you, I never drank as much water as I did when I was down there.The roads are in pretty good shape but the traffic in Phoenix-Scottsdale seems as bad as North Jersey.Lucky for me that my house is on the quieter Jersey Shore.Visited Sierra Vista where my brother lives and liked the more laidback atmosphere, just enough stores in town and a lot of open spaces with a view of the mountains.Hopefully I will be back sometime in the future.

Lived in Phoenix in the 80s, going to move back as soon as I can arrange it financially, pros 100° at midnight, cons no daylight savings time.
Can’t forget tarantulas and black widows.
Anyone worth their salt just get a pest service at home – avoids critters completely.
Not all parts of Phx is hot. Go to prescott and payson and go to Flagstaff in couple hours. You don’t shovel snow in Arizona
Dry heat is bearable. At least whatever the temp says it what it actually is. Try living in Florida where the temp says 90 but the humidity makes it feel like 105.
